Mail goes direct
Veredar talks to your mail server itself: IMAP and SMTP. Gmail, Microsoft 365, iCloud, Fastmail, your own domain. Not a single message passes through us.
A veredus was the fast horse of the Roman state post, a veredarius the imperial courier. Veredar carries your messages the same way: directly, quickly and through no one else’s hands.
The courier’s seal. Every message passes through it only on your device.
Veredar talks to your mail server itself: IMAP and SMTP. Gmail, Microsoft 365, iCloud, Fastmail, your own domain. Not a single message passes through us.
Set up signatures, rules, snoozes, appearance and your account list once. They are encrypted on the device with a master password and show up on your other machines within seconds. Mail passwords stay in each device’s own vault.
Message summary, tasks from an e-mail, reply drafts, rewriting and translation run on your own chip: Apple Intelligence on Mac and iPhone, Ollama on Mac and Windows. No tokens, no account, nothing leaves the device.
A unified inbox, stars, every message tinted with its account colour.
j/k, e archive, # trash, h snooze, z summarize, r reply, c compose, x select.
Formatting, links, images right in the text, a signature with breathing room.
Select dozens of messages, archive, delete, mark. Empty the trash in one click, with confirmation.
Images over plain http are never loaded silently. We tell you why and you decide.
CardDAV and CalDAV: iCloud, Fastmail, Nextcloud. An agenda right in the client.
Fresh minimalism, or Veredar: parchment, ink and seal. Both in light and dark.
A local copy of recent mail and search that works without a network.
Replies to the same message as one row with a count, stacked in the reader. Can be turned off under Appearance.
Snooze a message until tomorrow morning or Monday (key h): it disappears and comes back unread on any of your devices. The arrow next to Send schedules sending.
Sender or subject contains… → archive, read, star, trash or folder. They run on the server, so the result shows everywhere.
Summarize (key z), tasks from an e-mail, one-click replies, shorter or more formal, translation. The model runs on your device.
While Veredar is running, new mail triggers a system notification and the unread count shows on the icon. Several messages at once arrive as one summary.
Work and personal accounts in groups, each with its own unified inbox. A signature can apply to a whole group.
Reply all appears only when it makes sense. Cc, Bcc and read-receipt requests — and a receipt is never sent on its own.
Settings → Security checks all your servers and tells you for each one whether the connection is post-quantum, classical only, or refused by Veredar.
One codebase, a native shell on every platform. The app is a few megabytes and starts in under half a second.
If you use Modulo, you pair Veredar with a single code. Signatures from Modulo, contacts from the Address book and the company calendar are in the client with no setup. Your company prepares mail accounts in Modulo and they arrive in Veredar in one click — a Google account even without a password. Mailboxes of the Modulo E-mail module and notifications from the Modulo bell (tickets, tasks, mentions) are read right in Veredar. Modulo can turn an e-mail into a ticket, a task or an invoice.
What someone records in transit today they may want to read later, once they have a quantum computer. Your mail does not go through us at all. The profile is encrypted on the device (AES-256), and both the website and the sync server offer post-quantum key exchange. From version 0.18.0 Veredar connects to sync, updates and Modulo over post-quantum connections only, and for mail it offers the post-quantum exchange first — Gmail already accepts it. As of 24 September 2026.
No. Veredar talks to your mail server directly over IMAP and SMTP. The only thing that goes through our server is your settings profile, and it is encrypted on the device with a master password only you know.
The account list without passwords, signatures, rules, appearance and CardDAV/CalDAV accounts. Mail passwords stay in each device’s vault: Keychain, Credential Manager, Keystore.
It is free for individuals, including profile sync. Only the company-side preparation of mail accounts through Modulo is paid. Supporting the project is voluntary.
macOS (Apple Silicon), Windows and Android can be downloaded here. On iPhone and iPad Veredar is in TestFlight testing, invite-only for now. One codebase, a native shell on every platform.
Yes, over IMAP and SMTP: Microsoft 365, iCloud and Fastmail directly, Gmail with an app password. If your company uses Modulo, the Google account is connected in Modulo and Veredar borrows a short-lived token from it, so you never type a password. Direct Google sign-in without Modulo is not available yet.
The model runs on your own device. On Mac and iPhone with macOS 26 / iOS 26 it is Apple Intelligence, nothing to install. On Mac and Windows just install Ollama for free from ollama.com; Veredar starts it itself and recommends a model based on your computer’s memory (Gemma 3). Message text goes nowhere, no account, no fees. Turn it on under Settings → AI.
The app interface is in Slovak for now. This page, the privacy policy and the security pages are in English.
Veredar has siblings: each does one thing, and none of it goes through someone else’s server.
A tablet under control: an Android kiosk that holds one address, locks itself down and is managed from the office. No trip to the shop floor.

A transfer manager for SFTP, FTPS and FTP: two panes, a queue, passwords in the keychain. Files go from your machine to your server.
The business system everything is run from: helpdesk, tasks, invoices, devices. One admin, one sign-in.
Modulo in your pocket for iPhone and Android: calls logged to tickets, my work, trips with mileage, calendar, address book and SLA alerts.
Veredar is in open beta for Mac, Windows and Android. On iPhone and iPad it is in TestFlight testing, invite-only for now.
Open the DMG and drag Veredar into Applications. On first launch right-click Veredar → Open (the app is not notarized by Apple yet). New versions arrive on their own: Settings → Updates.
Run the installer. SmartScreen will ask because it is not signed with a Microsoft certificate: “More info” → “Run anyway”.
Download the APK on your phone, open it and allow installs from this source. The app offers new versions under Settings → Updates.
No ads, no tracking, no third-party server. Your mail. Your rules. On every device.
